It doesn’t seem possible that we have come to the midway part of another school year.
The winter weather this year has played havoc with us – going from wind chill temperatures to those highs nearly 60 degrees; and we can’t forget all that snow as well!
We try to send the children outside for recess as much as the weather allows. We ask that they come prepared with boots, hats and gloves, etc. All those necessary items that will help them be comfortable outside.
As we look forward to the next few months, we have a number of activities and events occurring. We recently completed the third and fourth grade ELA assessments. The Math assessments for the third and fourth grades will be held March 4-7, 2008. Our fourth graders will be administered the Science Assessment on May 5-6, 2008.
Once again this year, Mrs. Laveroni will be hosting the Jump Rope for Heart Program, supporting the American Heart Association on Friday, February 15, 2008. We look forward to having parent volunteers assist in helping with physical education activities on that day. This event is always one of the highlights of our year! If you are interested and available to volunteer, please call the main office so we can count on you!
