 Zarib Alam
"By assuming role as Student Council President, changes should be expected soon.  I have to thank all who voted for me, as well as those who didn't. I will try, to give the students of this beautiful school the year that they deserve.  I would have to say that my greatest motivation and inspiration is to have everyone, including teachers, take pride knowing that they are contributing to the Coxsackie-Athens Middle School Community." -Zarib Alam 10/23/14

  • Mrs. Soldner's Class in the Mood for Pi

Although Pi Day is always special in the middle school why is it so special this year you ask? The date is 3/14/15, those are the first five digits in the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter! AND as if that wasn't enough reason to celebrate at 26 minutes and 53 seconds after 9 a.m (and again at 9 p.m), we will pass a date and time represented by the first 10 digits of π. This won't happen again for another 100 years!

  • 7th Grade Accelerated Science Class Science Fair (click for more pictures)

Ms. Ulion's accelerated science class has worked very hard over the past month designing and implementing their own unique science experiments. After extensive research, not only did they design and perform their experiments, but they also wrote formal lab reports with detailed scientific conclusions. Each student was given 3-6 scientific questions to research to help them explain why their results occurred. The students hard work and firm understanding of the science involved in their experiment was evident to all who attended.
