I started teaching Grade 5 in 2002, after a brief 5 years out of the area for college. As a graduate of C-A, this community is deeply important to me- something I bring to my work every day. I teach two sections of Science class, as well as Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies. One of the best parts of being in the 5th grade is having the chance to move around from class to class, but still spend a good part of the day in one "homeroom." I love that I get to teach a variety of great topics. When I'm not at work, I spend time on the family farm with my children and husband, or might be found adventuring about in the Catskills or Adirondacks in a kayak or on a hike. Painting, photography, gardening, farming, and knitting add to my "free time" fun. I look forward to getting to know you better! |
