Board of Education

The Coxsackie-AthensCentral School District is governed by a nine member Board of Education.
Each member is elected to a three-year term, with three seats considered ateach annual election.

Board meetings areheld the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. Meetings rotate among
our buildings according to the following schedule:

• July, October, January, April - E. J. Arthur Elementary School
• All other meetings are held in the Middle School Library

Coxsackie-Athens is aschool district that encourages public participation. We welcome residents
to our Board of Education meetings and provide opportunities for public inputas part of the regular meeting agenda.
Furthermore, we believe that the school community needs to play an importantpart in the
decision-making processes of the district and are working to facilitate thatparticipation in various ways.
