What services are offered by the Counseling Staff?

 

The school counseling staff plays an important role in helping students during the Middle School Years. The counseling staff are trained professionals who work with students, teachers, school administrators, and parents to help the students at Coxsackie-Athens Middle School have a positive and successful school experience. Our school counselors are available to assist students who are having difficulty at school or home and to answer questions. Parents are also encouraged to contact counselors as the need arises.

 

Some examples of services offered by our School Counselors: 
·        Individual or group counseling
·       Mediation
·        Educational and academic counseling
·        Interpretation of standardized testing results
·        Referrals to outside counseling specialists
·        Coordination of parent-teacher conferences
 
 
The school counselors work as a team with students, parents, teacher and other school support staff to help our students have a successful Middle School  experience.
