While
initial concerns about the Novel H1N1 Influenza decreased in the summer,
information about this strain of influenza has surfaced again prior to the
start of the new school year.
The
Coxsackie – Athens Central School District will take precautions to ensure
the health and safety of its students and staff members. The district will
monitor the symptoms of students and staff members, keep Greene County
Public Health Nursing informed, and follow the directions of medical
professionals. Parents and guardians can help the school district by
keeping children home who present symptoms of influenza.
The
district will communicate as necessary with parents, guardians, students,
and members of the community with new or vital information about Novel H1N1
Influenza. In turn, we hope that the resources we post on the web page will
prove helpful to all persons.
May all of
us work together to care for those who may become ill from the Novel H1N1
Influenza.
Sincerely,
Earle S. Gregory, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
