The evaluation plans for our teachers and principals measure performance, recognize outstanding work, and provide focused and ongoing professional development and support.
Teachers and principals are evaluated based on a clear set of criteria. Rubrics are used to provide a clear set of expectations for daily performance (60%). In addition to being evaluated on how one leads a classroom or building, student performance (40%) is also measured to ensure inputs truly have a positive impact on student learning.
Research and actual best practices have shown schools with highly effective teachers and principals close achievement gaps and prepare all students for college and careers. To review the evaluation tools and read the specific descriptions of what effective teachers and leaders do, go to our
